Football / Sun 11th Aug 2013 am31 08:34am

Ryman Div One North

Soham Town Rangers 1 v 1 Harlow Town

SOHAM is not the easiest place to go for a draw so Harlow Town will be pleased to have left the Fens with a point in their pocket.

And Soham boss Steve Fallon and his young team were frustrated by a well organised and hard working Hawks.

Heads may have gone down after Luke Stanley opened the scoring for Soham, just before half time, when Luke Stanley converted a cross from the right.

But the Hawks kept their shape and it was only just when Alex Read scored from six yards after a fierce Shane Stamp free kick.

The Hawks held on to claim what could be a vital point.

Harlow’s next game is when they are at home to newly promoted Barkingside on Tuesday at 7.45pm.

Barkingside were promoted from the Essex Senior League at the end of last season.

HARLOW TN: Knowles, Thomas (Hart 79), Lavers, Fowler (c), Akande, Wheeler, Dadson, Gliddon (Martin 61), Read, Antoine, Stamp (McKenzie 89).

Subs not used: D.Williams, May.
