FA Cup: Qualifying Round

Harlow Town 4 v 1 Tower Hamlets

DESPITE a brave resistance in the first half, Tower Hamlets were steamrollered by Harlow Town in a 4-1 victory at Barrows Farm.

The Essex Senior League team held out until just before half time when Leon Antoine headed home from close range.

The score was doubled just after the break when Chnedu McKenzie made it 2-0.

The goal-scoring machine, Alex Read then made it 3-0 from an 82 minute penalty awarded for handball.

Tower Hamlets did not give up and grabbed a goal in the 90th minute through a long range effort from Joe Killingback.

But you cannot keep that man Read down and he had the final say with a fourth goal.

Harlow “reward” is a home tie against much-fancied Ryman League premier division outfit Lowestoft Town on Saturday September 14.
