Shoplifting epidemic hits Harlow

POLICE have released CCTV images of ten people they wish to talk to in connection with thefts from shops in Harlow.

Picture 1. This man is suspected of taking various meats, valued at around £50,from the Marks and Spencer store at Broad Walk, Harlow at about 3.15pm on Wednesday July 16.

Picture 3. This woman in the brightly-coloured top is suspected of taking four cases of chewing gum, totalling 120 individual packs and together valued at £50, from the Co-operative Food Store, High Street, Old Harlow at about 1.15pm on Monday July 29.

Picture 4. Officers would like to trace this man who is thought to have walked out of the Co-operative Food Store in High Street, Old Harlow, with a £6 bottle of wine hidden in his shorts, at about 5.10pm on Saturday August 10.

Pictures 5 and 5A. These three men are suspected of taking about £15 worth of food from the Co-operative Food Store in High Street in Old Harlow on Sunday August 11 at about 6.50pm. It it thought that they walked around and selected items separately then met to put them all in a bag. They then left the shop without attempting to pay.

Picture 6. This man in a distinctive T-shirt is suspected of failing to pay for cans of beer worth about £16 taken from the M&S Simply Food shop at the BP filling station in Southern Way at about 8pm on August 11.

Picture 7. Officers would like a name for this man who is suspected of trying to steal a digital camera from a display at Currys in the Queensgate Centre, Edinburgh Way, at about 3.30pm on August 12. The suspect removed security cables but ran out of the store when an alarm activated.

Picture 8. The man carrying a motorcycle helmet is suspected of taking £50 of meat from the M&S Simply Food shop at the BP filling station in Southern Way at about 11.45am on Monday July 29. He was later seen riding away on a motorbike.

Picture 9. Officers would like a name for this woman who is believed to have taken meat valued at £52 from the M&S Simply Food shop at the BP filling station, Southern Way at about 7.30pm on Tuesday August 13.
