Teenagers in court over “filmed assault” in Bush Fair

TWO juvenile students have been charged with a serious assault and will appear in Youth Court this month, following an incident in Harlow in July.

The assault happened at the back of the library off Tilegate Road in the Bush Fair area at 9:30pm on Thursday, July 4. A 49 year old man had been walking along grassland when he was approached by a group of people, who punched and kicked him until he became unconscious. This was also filmed on mobile telephones. The local man received a fractured eye socket and other facial injuries.

A 15 year old boy from Enfield was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and a 15 year old boy from Harlow has been charged by detectives in Harlow with wounding with intent and will appear at Youth Court at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on December 13.
