Barkingside 3 v 4 Harlow Town

IT WAS late but it was worth it as the Hawks edged a seven-goal thriller against Barkingside.

Two goals by Leon Antoine and two by Alex Read secured the points in what was the proverbial ding-dong battle. Alex Read secured the winner in the 81st minute.

The win leaves Harlow thirteen games unbeaten and now just six points behind leaders VCD Athletic, who lost their third game in a row.

It all sets things up nicely for the December 28th clash with second-placed Thurrock.
