Ryman Div One North
Harlow Town 1 v 0 Ware
HARLOW opened up their 2014 account with a solid if unspectacular 1-0 victory against Ware at the Harlow Arena.
Ware may be bottom of the league but they are always awkward opponents and in dreadful conditions, they did their best to make life difficult for Harlow Town.
The winner came in the 15th minute when Ben Hart placed a perfect cross to Shane Stamp and the in-form winger hit home at the back post.
Harlow should have scored more but the Ware keeper Rhys Madden pulled off many fine saves.
The weather worsened in the second half and to be fair, so did the football but the Hawks held on to secure all three points
An attendance of 214 was the largest crowd of the season and helps to showcase the importance of the 3G pitch.
