HARLOW MP Robert Halfon has described the announcement of an £11m Government grant for the Harlow Enterprise Zone as a “huge boost” for the town.
Mr Halfon said: “The announcement is a huge boost for Harlow. It will create jobs and transform our Enterprise Zone.
“It will also mean significant improvements to our transport infrastructure.
“I pay tribute to the Enterprise Zone management and everyone else who has helped make this money possible.”
Mr Halfon added: “I’ve worked hard to ask the Government to invest in Harlow and this £11m comes on top of up to £10m for our new Apprentice School and £5m for Princess Alexandra Hospital for extra Accident and Emergency services.”
Mr Halfon yesterday met with Communities and Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles, Essex County Council leader David Finch and deputy county council leader Kevin Bentley when the Enterprise Zone funding was announced.
