Prolific teenage burglar sentenced to two years

A 19-year-old man has been jailed for over two years after being convicted of committing two burglaries in Harlow.

Connor Smithers of Northbrooks, Harlow, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, February 4, having been convicted of two burglaries in Rundells and Chippingfield , Harlow which happened on July 12. He also admitted a further 20 burglaries and eight offences of taking a motor vehicle, which were taken in to consideration by the court.

He was sentenced to two years and three months for the burglaries and an further six months to run consecutively as a previous suspended sentence was activated.smithers
