OVER 30 local Essex grassroots coaches learned more about ‘Developing Attacking Play for 12s-16s’ at a free, three-hour in-service coaching event on the 3G pitch at Harlow Town FC on Tuesday 25th February.
The well-attended session included practical and classroom-based elements and discussions about the attributes of effective attacking, and attendees were able to share ideas with other club coaches and teachers. They also had the chance to catch-up with Football Association and Essex County FA staff, including Coaching Development Officer, Gary Piggott.
For the Level Two and Three Coaches present, the event contributed towards their commitment of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. CPD is part of being an FA Licensed Coach and it demonstrates intent to constantly improve the appropriate skills. It means committing to a given number of hours of training per year, depending on the level of the qualification a coach holds.
