Harlow Group celebrate expansion

SHEET metal fabricators, Harlow Group had their big open day on Wednesday 26 March 2014 to celebrate the completion of 5,500 square foot extension together with the introduction of fibre laser technology.

The new building significantly increases manufacturing capacity, whilst also allowing a complete redesign of the shop floor to improve workflow. Installed into the new space is the latest fibre optic laser cutting machine, supplied by Amada.

Representing over £500,000 of investment the new technology is three times more efficient than the previous Co2 laser. With processing speeds of over 100 meters per minutes the new machine will greatly increase capacity whilst providing a more competitive solution to a global customer base.

Sir Mike Gregory, head of the Institute for Manufacturing opened the new facility in front of 65 guests and over 100 employees.
