POLICE in Suffolk are renewing appeals for information to trace a Hollesley Bay prisoner who failed to return following a period of home leave, who may now be in the Harlow area.

Prison staff contacted police just after 1am on Saturday 26 April to report that Connor Shand, 22, who was serving six years for aggravated burglary, had gone on home leave but had failed to return.

Essex Police immediately made checks at two possible addresses where he might have been in county but Shand was not at either of them. Since then both Constabularies have been following up enquiries to locate him.

Shand is described as 6ft 2ins tall, of thin build with dark brown hair and brown eyes and he has a scar to the top of his forehead.

shandIf anyone sees Shand they should phone the police with the details. They should not approach him or take any further action.

Anyone who may have seen him, or who may have information about where he is now, should call police by dialling 101.
