THE area outside the Science Department at St Mark’s in Tripton Road was transformed by the addition of two beautiful new planted areas, which have been created by the newly formed Ecology Club.

Pupils and staff worked together to create a border which spells out ‘St Mark’s’ in yellow marigolds, surrounded by red salvia flowers.

The club has also planted a herb garden and strawberry patch.

Plans for the future include a wild flower area and the redevelopment of the greenhouse. More recently, the flower bed has now grown, the area is now looking magnificent!

A staff spokesperson said: “Thanks to all the pupils who have been helping with watering, dead heading and weeding at lunchtime”.
