Football: Harlow overcome Baldock in FA Cup

HARLOW Town overcame a battling Baldock Town 3-0 to progress through to the first round of the FA Cup.

The Hawks opened their account with an Alex Read penalty in the 15th minute. Read was tripped up by Baldock keeper Nick Stillwell. Stillwell was subsequently sent off.

It took a long time for the Hawks to wear Baldock down and only added a second in the 85th minute when Chinedu McKenzie tapped home a loose ball.

The scoring was rounded off when Simms shot home in the last minute

The win gave the Hawks £1,925 in prize money and they will face Grays Athletic away in the first qualifying round.

HARLOW TN: Hickman, Glasgow, Eadie, Urquhart, Kendall, Nwanzi (Lorenzo 45), Small (Fry 75), Cowley, Read, Simms, Stamp (McKenzie 65).
