Harlow Town 4 v 2 Burnham Ramblers

AN ALEX Read hat-trick saw Harlow Town beat basement team Burnham Ramblers and stretch their lead at the top of the league.

Burnham are a plucky side and are always competitive, so it took all of Harlow’s strength and style to overcome the fellow Essex side.

Infant are an early Read penalty in the 4th minute, Burnham struck back with goals by Bradley Walsh and Ryan Imbert in the first half.

Read equalised in the 66th minute and grabbed a third in the 89th minute. Junior Dadson made it four in injury time.

The win puts Harlow Town six points clear of nearest rivals, Needham Market but the Hawks will know that they will have to play better than this if they are to secure the promotion they so richly want.

Harlow are away to Soham Town Rangers next Saturday.
