Update on illegal traveller camps in Harlow

Monday 0700 hrs: Jan 12th

Coldharbour Road (land owned by Essex County Council):

As of 12.15 today (Friday 9 January 2015) there are seven caravans in this encampment; there are reports of some caravans leaving Harlow. Essex County Council has a hearing at the county court for possession of the land on Monday 12 January 2015.

Passmores Car Park (land owned by Harlow Council):

There continues to be five caravans in this encampment. Bailiffs have instructed the group that an eviction will take place on Monday 12 January 2015 at 9am if they are not off the land by then.

If you witness any criminal offences please report it to Essex Police on 101 or, if the offence is still taking place, 999.

Anti-social behaviour incidents including fly-tipping and littering can be reported to Harlow Council. It is important that any offences are reported so they can be investigated and appropriate action taken. Reporting issues and incidents can also help support any legal action the Council takes.
