HARLOW Athletic Club’s (HAC) junior endurance squad were out in force once again at the Essex League XC match held on Sat 10th Jan 2015 and hosted by Orion harriers in Chingford. We had a great day with 1 win and 3 podium places.

Conditions were foul on the day with driving wind and rain and a quagmire of a course. HAC had it’s largest turn outs of athletes for many years with 30 athletes braving the elements, which is confirmation the club is going from strength to strength.

Our results were as follows;

U11 girls 1 mile;

2nd Ellen Savidge 5.47, 3rd Jemima Pratt 5.51, 6th Elizabeth Woods 6.06, 8th Katie Brennan 6.12, 13th Maddie Bailey 6.47, 15th Amity Mignot 7.07.

U11 boys 1 mile;

7th Ben Savidge 5.44, 8th Jack Rushworth 5.48, 10th Josh Knightsbridge 5.55, 11th Daryn Gerty 5.59, 15th Raferty Groat 6.28, 16th Jacque Mignot 6.39, 18th Dominic Morgan 7.13, 20th Ben Templeton-Knight 13.39.

The time recoded by our U11 athletes are very very fast indeed and given the conditions face on the day, a real credit to the hard work the juniors put in at training.
