Business / Fri 23rd Jan 2015 pm31 12:39pm

Felipe at Harlow CollegeIT was an amazing day for Harlow College last week as a star of the hit BBC One show, The Apprentice, Felipe Alviar-Baquero visited the campus to meet with local students and apprentices.

Felipe was invited to the town by local MP Robert Halfon, who met the celebrity towards the end of last year.

Felipe arrived in Harlow at 9am and started the day by visiting the brand-new Sir Charles Kao University Technical College, where he gave an Alan Sugar-like grilling to local students who had written their own business plans. Three groups had created their own brand of soap, whilst a fourth had developed a new brand of instant tea-bags made of crystallized sugar.

An hour later, he visited the College itself to talk to real Harlow apprentices and give them advice on employment and business.

Robert Halfon said, “It was amazing to have such a well known celebrity come to Harlow. Felipe almost made it to the final round on The Apprentice. He came to Harlow on my invitation, to see and hear the great work happening in our town.”
