Repairs to ClockTower roundabout are not going like clockwork

DELAYS due to complications in National Grid gasworks has disrupted the progress of Harlow Clock Tower scheme.
Cllr Eddie Johnson, Cabinet Member for Highways Maintenance and Small Schemes, said: “The poor performance of National Grid Gas and the relocation of the Gas Governor have caused unacceptable delays. Scheduled work which should have finished nearly three months ago will not

“National Grid has failed to deliver on the service they promised to deliver which is disappointing. Essex County Council wants to work in collaboration with utility companies to deliver improvements to our highways and infrastructure in a timely fashion.
“Despite writing to National Grid and securing support from Essex MPs requesting further cooperation from National Grid, we are still experiencing several weeks delay.”
Completion of this programme remains on course for late summer 2015.
