NHS West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) encourages Harlow residents to attend feedback event on local health services

NHS West Essex CCG is holding a feedback event next Monday 2 February between 19:00-21:00 at the Leisurezone in Harlow. This will be the first of several public events held across west Essex as part of the CCG’s engagement programme: My health, My Future, My Say part two.

The CCG’s Five Year Strategic Plan for the west Essex health and care system, and how it has been shaped by local views, will be the foundation for discussions at the event. Local people will have the opportunity to offer their views on the plans for current, and future, health and care services in Harlow.

One of the main areas of focus over the next five years will be to provide services that support wellbeing in our communities, will work in conjunction with social care services and will put people in control of managing their own health.

Clare Morris, Chief Officer of West Essex CCG said: “My Health, My Future, My Say part two is not only a fantastic opportunity to feedback to the communities in Harlow and demonstrate where they have helped shape our intentions for health services over the next five years, it is also a platform for further engagement. Our five year plan is a work in progress and will evolve accordingly to ensure our plans are serving the people of Harlow in the right ways.

“Over the last year we have regularly been out in Harlow in to engage face-to-face with our communities. We want to hear first-hand what people think of the health and care services that are available to them and whether those services are meeting their needs. Local insight is invaluable and we need to capture this experience as we continue to plan for the provision of future services; the intentions outlined in our five year plan are local plans for local needs.”

A panel of senior health and social care representatives from West Essex CCG and partner organisations, including Essex County Council and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, will be present at each event and the public will have the opportunity to attend, ask questions and find out more about what their local NHS are working on and where they might affect change.

If you would like to feedback to the CCG on local health services and are unable to attend one of these public events, please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison service on 01992 566122/3 or via email: [email protected].
