Running: Lowe produces new high

HARLOW Running Club member Rob Lowe produced a fantastic performance at the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey finishing in 1st place out of 96 finishers in a personal best time for the distance (PB) of 17min 45sec.

Another winner was Jamie Jephcott finishing in 1st place at the Great Notley Parkrun 5K at Braintree out of 120 finishers in an excellent 19min 08sec and he was followed by son Daniel in 4th place and 1st Junior in a superb 20min 14sec.

At Harlow Parkrun 5K Jason Haigh finished in 13th place out of 140 finishers in 21min 35sec. He was followed home by Andy Terrell 14th in 21min 48sec, John Bull 21st in 23min 38sec, Andy Ramage 22nd in 23min 51sec, Paul Dixon 26th in 24min 39sec, Robin Lozeau 27th in 24min 43sec, Jim Bates 34th and 1st Vet 70 in 25min 24sec, Justin Patten 39th in 26min 14sec, Debbie Barry 41st in 26min 25sec, Alan Wellbelove 62nd in 28min 07sec, Louise Cootes 68th in 29min 04sec, Pushpa Mistry 83rd in 31min 33sec and Deborah Bodhanya 102nd in 34min 25sec in her debut at the distance.

At the Richmond Parkrun 5K in Surrey Richard Solomons finished in 43rd place out of 323 finishers and 1st Vet 65 in 21min 48sec.

At the Wimpole Estate Parkrun 5K at Royston Richard Smith finished in 64th place out of 227 finishers in 26min 07sec.

At the Welwyn Garden City 10K Nick D’Alton finished in 254th place out of 326 finishers in 64min 51sec in his debut at the distance.
