Communities / Sun 8th Mar 2015 pm31 01:28pm

Waterhouse
Last Wednesday the residents picked eight large bags of litter, which included two bags filled with drink cans.

The residents were disgusted of the waste they recovered and they urged people using the area to use bins provided.

Nishall Garala, Vice Chairman of Waterhouse Moor Residents’ Association said “It is fantastic to see residents of the area willing to put their own time into making their community a great place to be by keeping it clean and tidy, and making it nice for everyone that lives and visits Waterhouse Moor.”

Nishall also added “The Residents Association and I urge people not to litter and to use the bins provided for the sake of the environment however I would like to give a big thank you to all the residents that take regular part in our litter picks.”

During the last litter pick, Cllr Dan Long, who represents the Bushfair Ward, also took part alongside the residents to keep the area clean and free of litter.
