THE Heath Players will be performing Bomber’s Moon by William Ivory (Common as Muck Made in Dagenham fame) on Wednesday 18th- Saturday 21st March at 8pm at the Hatfield Heath Village Hall.
This is a fantastic two hander featuring the very talented Lee Barnes and Martin Bedwell. The play is set in a care home and brings together former RAF gunner Jimmy (Martin Bedwell) and his new care assistant David (Lee Barnes). Both have been through the wars.
Jimmy is fighting his final battle against old age and infirmity, David is trying to lay his past to rest and build a new future. Jimmy’s memory increasingly takes him back to the terrifying WWII bombing raids as David’s new found faith is tested to breaking point. What is clear is that both men are searching for a lasting peace.
This play delivers gritty realism; it is hilariously funny displaying a wicked dark humour and a compelling glimpse at the fragility of life. Tickets are available online https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/heathplayers
