Vandals are no hurdle for the Harlow Park Run heroes

Athletics / Mon 16th Mar 2015 at 11:27am

THEY say there is a family atmosphere down at the Harlow Park Run and it was certainly proven on Saturday morning.

Vandals had damaged the locker that all the marshalling equipment is placed in.

With a record number set to run, the course directors rallied the troops and asked for a little bit more time and a few more volunteers.

They were not let down. Marshalls were in place, crayons were used to mark out the course and the race went ahead.

154 ran, equalling the record number of runners who competed in the first Harlow Park Run on November 8th.

Well done to all concerned.
