RUNNERS at the school have been winning medals and titles this season.
Sidnie Ward and Kyesha Robinson both won county titles at this year’s Essex Indoor Championships.
Year 7 Sidnie is second best in the UK for under 13 boys in the 800m, winning his race in two minutes 24 seconds. He is also county cross country champion.
Kyesha is now ranked ninth in the UK for her age group after scooping gold in the under 15 girls 300m distance, despite having to run a heat and a final in the same day.
Siena Taylor and Hayden Maleary both represented Essex in the televised UK Inter Counties Cross Country in early March.
Sidnie, Siena and Hayden (Year 8 county champion) will represent Essex at the South East of England Inter Counties event on March 28 along with Hannah Page and Todd Maleary.
Kristina O’Hara, said: “Our Burnt Mill runners are extremely talented. They are driven and focused, giving them an edge over their competitors. All our runners have been working with coach John Stow and train incredibly hard with him to achieve great successes.
“We are looking forward to the athletics seasons and seeing what they can bring to the track.”
