Promotional food waste caddy liner proves a hit

News / Tue 24th Mar 2015 at 04:46pm

CaddyA PROMOTIONAL food waste caddy liner giveaway run by Harlow Council last week has proven successful, with around 10,000 free liners being snapped up.

The spring edition of the Council’s magazine Harlow Times carried a promotion, running from 16-20 March 2015, where households in Harlow could claim 10 free food waste caddy liners. They did so by bringing in the voucher printed on page 11 of the magazine in to the Civic Centre. Around 1,000 residents took advantage of the offer, which was designed to help get residents recycling food waste and to thank the town’s residents for their continued support in helping to recycle.

Councillor Mark Wilkinson, Portfolio Holder for Environment, said: “Promotions like this help to further raise awareness of the importance of recycling everything you can, as well as give thanks to the residents of Harlow who already do so.

“Harlow Council will be running similar promotions in the future, so there will be more chances for residents to get involved.”
