Ashcroft Poll has Robert Halfon in the lead by ten points

AshcroftTHE RESPECTED polling by Lord Ashcroft has Conservative candidate, Robert Halfon, in the lead by ten points.

Whilst there are many polls, forecasts, assessments and the throwing of straw in the air, the Lord Ashcroft polls are treated by many candidates as an accurate reflection of the voting intentions in the General Election of 2015.

The polling took place between April 2nd and April 10th. The poll takes the form of contacting over a 1000 Harlow voters from across the age ranges.

The poll has Robert Halfon at 44%, Labour’s Suzy Stride at 34% and UKIP at 16%.

Reacting to the poll, Robert Halfon said: “As the Lord Ashcroft polls are respected from all sides, I do take encouragement from the findings.

“I am pleased to see the poll indicates that voters from across the age ranges have said they intend to vote Conservative.

“But the real poll is May 7th when the voters of Harlow will have their say and decide who is their next MP.”

YH will be gauging reaction from other candidates.
