Teenage student charged over knife-point robbery in Old Harlow

A TEENAGER has been charged with robbery following an incident outside a hotel in Harlow yesterday afternoon.

Oliver Allen, 18, a student from Hart Road in Harlow, will appear before magistrates in Chelmsford on Friday, May 1. Police were called to the hotel in Hart Road at just before 4.30pm following reports that a man in his 30s had been threatened at knife point whilst waiting for a taxi. He had his mobile phone stolen.

Officers swiftly attended the scene. They made enquiries and found a knife, stolen bank cards and the phone nearby. The police helicopter was used during the incident.
