A MAN will appear in court today (Wednesday June 17) to face five charges of indecent assault following incidents that allegedly took place at a fire service training centre in Witham in the late 80s and early 90s.

Mark Wilson, 51, a Fire Officer employed by the Fire Authority, from Thorley Park in Bishop’s Stortford, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court this morning.

He was summonsed to the court by post, following a lengthy and complex investigation by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
