COME along to one of East Herts Council’s lovely parks for a free afternoon of fun to celebrate Love Parks Week.

At Southern Country Park in Bishop’s Stortford, all the family can enjoy a range of activities including the popular annual dog show. Just bring along your pet on the day – no need to pre-register. Families can also take part in a fitness activity trail, and try orienteering and slacklining – a chance to test your balancing skills.

At Pishiobury Park in Sawbridgeworth you can meet the friendly Longhorn cattle and join a guided bug hunt.

Eric Buckmaster, executive member for health and wellbeing, said: “These two afternoons are always great fun. Why not bring along a picnic and make the most of these two lovely parks.”

The dates are:

· Tuesday July 28, 12noon-3pm at Southern Country Park, CM23 4BH

· Thursday July 30, 12noon-3pm at Pishiobury Park, CM21 0AL.
