Running: From midweek to weekend, Harlow keeps on running

HARLOW Running Club competed in the Midweek League Road Race Mob Match
on Thursday, a race involving runners from both divisions of the
league, over a two lap 10K course at Welwyn Garden City. After the
race there was a Midweek League presentation ceremony in which HRC
picked up four individual Division 2 series awards and one team award.
Sharon Wright and Julia Gardiner came 1st and 2nd respectively in the
Ladies Vet 35 category, Jamie Jephcott came second in the Vet 40
category, Steve Mackenzie came 2nd in the Vet 50 category and the
Ladies were 1st Vet team. In the Mob Match ladies race Sharon Wright
finished in 14th place out of 161 finishers in a commendable 44min
36sec. She was followed by Debbie Barry 79th in 52min 12sec, Janice
Page 81st in 52min 39sec, Karen Moir 88th in 53min 17sec, Jane Evans
120th in 57min 13sec and Paula Coleman 124th in 58min 16sec. In the
men’s race Rob Lowe finished in 31st place out of 279 finishers in an
excellent 37min 21sec. He was followed home by Jamie Jephcott 71st in
39min 31sec, Adrian Fell 77th in 39min 42sec, Daniel Jephcott 84th in
40min 47sec, Steve Mackenzie 107th in 41min 27sec, Len Saterlay 126th
in a personal best time for the distance(PB) of 41min 27sec, Mark
Hayward 158th in 44min 48sec, John Tennant 161st in 44min 54sec, Andy
Ramage 188th in 46min 48sec(PB), Colin Moody 189th in 46min 50sec,
Robin Lozeau 208th in 48min 45sec, Terry Pike 238th in 53min 08sec,
Alan Wellbelove 239th in 53min 08sec, David Page 245th in 54min 12sec
and Ron Newton 264th in 60min 05sec.

Meanwhile at the Great Newham London Run 10K, taking part in and
around Queen Elizabeth Park and finishing in the Olympic Stadium,
Robin Lozeau finished in 1064th place out of 10,119 finishers in 47min
17sec. He was followed by Janice Page 2337th in 51min 48sec, Terry
Pike 2573rd in 52min 36sec, Debbie Barry 2708th in 53min 00sec, Martyn
Coulter 2709th in 53min 00sec, Wendy Spring 2900th in 53min 41sec,
Paul Schroder 2901st in 53min 41sec, David Page 3276th in 54min 40sec,
Jeff Mace 4831st in 59min 05sec and Derek Seymour 4937th in 59min
24sec.

At the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Jamie Jephcott was
victorious in 1st place out of 99 finishers in an excellent 18min
44sec and he was followed by son Daniel in 13th place and 1st U20 in
21min 07sec.

At the Hatfield Forest Parkrun 5K Jason Haigh finished in 32nd place
out of 156 finishers in 23min 19sec. He was followed by David Page
70th in 25min 53sec and Janice Page 71st in 25min 56sec.

At the Harlow Parkrun 5K Spencer Brooks finished in 20th place out of
98 finishers in 24min 48sec. He was followed by Graham Saville 25th in
25min 16sec, Alan Wellbelove 30th in 26min 47sec, Terry Pike 33rd in
27min 32sec, Louise Kedge 34th in 27min 40sec, Jane Evans 38th in
28min 28sec, Ron Newton 43rd in 29min 13sec and Pushpa Mistry 52nd in
30min 55sec.

At the Huntingdon Parkrun 5K Debbie Cooper finished in 126th place out
of 258 finishers in a PB time of 27min 53sec.

At the Leamington Parkrun 5K Andy Kinney finished in 284th place out
of 420 finishers in 30min 09sec. Next day Kinney completed the
Windmill Half Marathon at Lytham St Annes finishing in 535th place out
of 577 finishers in 2hrs 24min 11sec.
