Running: Lowe reaches new high on parkrun

HARLOW Running club member Rob Lowe finished 2nd place out of 106
finishers in the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey in a fantastic
17min 51sec, just 12 seconds outside his personal best time for the
distance(PB). He was followed by Julia Gardiner 13th and first Lady
finisher in 21min 24sec, Carinne Jay 17th and 1st Lady Vet 50 in 22min
05sec and Mark Hayward 18th in 22min 12sec.
Meanwhile at the Harlow Parkrun 5K Steve Mackenzie finished in 5th
place out of 123 finishers and 1st Vet 50 in a superb 20min 56sec. He
was followed by Darren Tiley 10th in 22min 03sec, Martyn Coulter 31st
in 24min 57sec(PB), Terry Pike 33rd in 25min 07sec, Jane Evans 52nd
and 1st Lady Vet 50 in 27min 30sec and Austin Nyamande 78th in 31min
At the Orion Forest 5 Mile, a very hilly off road race in Epping
Forest at Chingford, Jamie Jephcott finished in 17th place out of 166
finishers in a commendable 32min 01sec. He was followed home by son
Daniel in 26th place in 33min 04sec, John Tennant 57th and 1st Vet 60
in 36min 57sec, Sean Flynn 58th in 37min 07sec, Sandi Rust 66th and
3rd Lady Vet 45 in 38min 32sec, Martin McColgan 70th in 38min 52sec,
Robin Lozeau 75th in 39min 26sec, Alan Wellbelove 96th in 42min 08sec,
Debbie Barry 97th in 42min 09sec, Janice Page 103rd in 42min 52sec,
David Page 108th in 43min 09sec, Karen Moir 117th in 44min 10sec,
Louise Kedge 135th in 47min 07sec and Paulene Galoppi 156th in 52min
At the Hoddesdon Parkrun 5K Adrian Fell finished in 3rd place out of
49 finishers in an excellent 20min 18sec.
At the Hatfield Forest Parkrun 5K Justin Patten finished in 20th place
out of 135 finishers in 21min 37sec(PB).
At the Bury St Edmunds Parkrun 5K Gary Godfrey, in his debut at the
distance, finished in 45th place out of 157 finishers in 22min 39sec.
At the Sturminster Newton Half Marathon in Dorset Andy Kinney finished
in 371st place out of 380 finishers in 2hrs 44min 57sec.
