THERE has been an accident at the Potter Street Splash Park today. The emergency services were called and an air ambulance and paramedics attended to provide treatment at the site, subsequently taking the child to hospital for further treatment and monitoring.

The Council is in contact with the family who were with the child when the accident occurred. We are sorry to hear about this accident and wish the child a full and speedy recovery.

As a precaution the splash park has been closed until further notice. The splash park is likely to remain closed over the weekend until a full investigation can be carried out.
