HARLOW Hockey Club (HHC) is pleased to announce that after a season of hard-work, perseverance and sheer determination (and a five month wait), the HHC Ladies 2’s Team finally got their promotion…They are now only One Division away from returning to their previous best in Division Two-

The girls fought their best campaign in years last season and only lost a total of two matches throughout the entire year (to long-terms rivals Chelmsford) and only lost out to the winners in the overall season- end standings by three points.

The girls also became Essex Cup Champions at the Essex Trophy Tournament in April (including beating the same Chelmsford Team).

A spokesperson said: “This is a well deserved and hard fought for victory for the team whose previous best ranking for the 2’s Team was Division 2. This hopefully will see a beginning of a return to form from a few years ago and the girls have set their sights on returning to their former positioning

“We are all very proud of their achievement and wish them all the best for the 2015-2016 season…
