Deeply saddened and shocked

Council Leader Chris Whitbread said: “I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of this tragic event and my condolences and prayers are with the families and friends of all those involved.”

“North Weald Airfield is a close-knit community and our staff and other pilots are devastated at this news. We lease hangers to many plane enthusiasts who restore and maintain their specialist aircraft, such as the Hawker Hunter.”
