BATTS Table Tennis Club will be launching a bid to take on the country’s top players over the weekend of September 12-13.

Last season the Old Harlow club’s first team achieved a dramatic promotion to the Premier Division of the Senior British League.

This outstanding achievement means the club will now be battling for honours at the highest level.

BATTS has also been chosen to host the first weekend of matches.

If you want to view some of the action you can look in at any time – free of charge.

The matches start at 10.30am on Saturday and Sunday.

The club has superb facilities at the Norman Booth Centre, Elderfield, including a viewing area/cafeteria which is open all day.

At lunchtimes there will be a fun table tennis activity that anyone can take part in.

The BATTS team will be a force to be reckoned with.

Two of the club’s leading coaches are top class competitive players.

Adam Nutland, the club’s head coach, is currently ranked 18 in England, and Peter Cleminson – a former England Junior number one – recently made a return to competition and toppled the England number six in a major tournament.
