A NETTESWELL councillor has re-affirmed his commitment to tackling the potholes in his ward.
Residents from the Minchin Road area contacted YH re the state of their roads.
We in turn contacted cllr Mike Danvers.
Cllr Danvers said: “Essex Council have refused to accept it needs repair. There’s no reason why I cannot take it up again”.
Cllrs Edna Stevens and Waida Forman have yet to respond to our correspondence.
In fairness to the 3 Labour Councillors, potholes remain a town wide issue in Harlow, and show the failure of Conservative Essex County Council and our four County Councillors to fight for Harlow and our fair share. However, I firmly believe that elected Councillors should make regular visits to their wards, and look around for issues themselves. Also shrubs, trees and bushes need looking at too. I regularly report issues to both our Local Councils, and frankly the response rate and time taken to solve this issues is utterly pathetic!
