FIVE men are on police bail after another was assaulted in Harlow town centre.

A 19-year-old man from Harlow was near Cash Concepts in Market House when he was surrounded by a group of people and assaulted between 3am and 3.30am on Friday, September 4.

He suffered serious fractures to his face requiring surgery.

The men aged between 18 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on police bail pending further enquiries until December 11.

Police believe some people filmed the assault and are asking that anyone who did so should contact Dc Lee Fordham at Harlow CID on 101. Any witnesses should also contact Dc Fordham or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
