Running: Austin getting closer to the 30 minute barrier

Austin NyamandeHARLOW Running Club member Ben Chitiyo ran a personal best time for the distance when finishing 2nd out of 92 finishers at the Harlow Parkrun 5K in a fantastic 18min 43sec. He was followed home by Andy Terrell (4th in 20.35), Terry Ridge (9th in 22.25), Jared Bethell (12th in 23.06), Martyn Coulter (18th in 23.40), Alan Wellbelove (23rd in 24.34), Debbie Barry (32nd and 3rd female in 25.24) and Darren Tiley (81st in 39.36).

Meanwhile at the Hatfield Forest Parkrun 5K John Bull finished in 18th place out of 154 finishers in 21min 33sec. He was followed by Graham Saville (39th in 23.06), Paul Dixon (42nd in 23.40), Spencer Brooks (45th in 24.02), Jason Haigh (53rd in 24.18), Michelle Aitken (87th in 26.38) and Celia Haigh (106th in 29.48).

At the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Paul Schroder finished in 31st place out of 105 finishers in 24min 41sec and Austin Nyamande was 71st in a PB time of 30min 07sec.

At the Berlin Marathon Andy Kinney finished in 36,199th place out of 36,817 finishers in 5hrs 54min 43sec.
