Police put on brave face at meeting in Harlow

Essex PoliceTHE POLICE and Crime Commissioner for Essex Nick Alston was joined by senior officers from Essex Police in a public meeting on crime.

The public concerns expressed from the audience included police visibility, road traffic issues, support from the community and the communication.

Chief Inspector Alan Ray led the meeting and took the public through the challenges as well as what was his road map in tackling crime in the area.

Local ward councillor, Ian Beckett was at the meeting. Cllr Beckett said: “This was an honest meeting which laid plain the challenges for the police in 2015.

“They are in the form line of severe cuts imposed upon them by the Conservatives, so thy next twelve months will be a key time foe the police and the people of Harlow.”
