Appeal for witnesses after man stabbed in Market Square in Harlow Town Centre

DETECTIVES have appealed for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Harlow town centre.

He suffered four wounds to his back and chest after he became involved in an altercation with another man outside Bar 21 in Market Square at about 2.30am today, Sunday October 11.

The victim, who is in his 20s and from Harlow, was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital where he is still receiving treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening but will require surgery.

A large area in Market Square was taped off while police carried out forensic investigations.

A 19-year-old man from Harlow was arrested this morning on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and he remains in custody being interviewed by detectives.
