Details of Royal Anglian Regiment march through Harlow

March route:

The Regiment will march from the Post Office Car Park at approximately 12.30pm along through Broad Walk, past the library and on to the Water Gardens. There will be a welcome ceremony held at the Water Gardens and the soldiers will take part in a parade and inspection. Please see map for full route details.


Large numbers of people are expected to attend so please arrive early and leave in plenty of time. We recommend that people start lining the streets from 11.30am. Visitors are encouraged to line the whole route.

Road closures:

Road closures in the Town Centre will be in operation so there may be more traffic around leading up to and during the march.

College Square will be closed from 9am to 5pm and road closures will be in operation in Post Office Road and East Gate. Full information on road closures can be found at www.harlow.gov.uk/freedom-parade

Car parking:

Post Office Road Car Park will be closed to the public from 6pm on 21 October until 1pm on 22 October 2015. Disabled parking outside Adams House, East Gate will be suspended from 8am to 2pm. All other Town Centre car parks will be open. Please see map for car park locations.

Public Transport:

There will be a slight delay to any buses departing the Bus Station when the march sets off from Post Office Road at approximately 12.30pm. They may also be small delays to buses arriving at the Bus Station before and after the parade. If you are arriving by car or taxi/mini cab we recommend that you ask to be dropped off at the Playhouse Square.

Visiting the Civic Centre:

Public access to the Civic Centre will be unaffected but visitors should be aware that the Water Gardens area will be very busy leading up to and during the march and parade.
