Three arrested, police officer injured after robbery in Bush Fair

THREE people are in custody this morning following the robbery of an elderly man in Bush Fair, Harlow.

An off-duty police officer was injured after he attempted to stop a woman suspect who got in to a vehicle following the robbery at around 4.40pm yesterday afternoon, Monday, October 12.

The officer, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment with thankfully only minor injuries.

Subsequently two women and a man were arrested.

A 38-year-old woman from Harlow was arrested on suspicion of robbery, drugs offences, dangerous driving and drink driving. A 30-year-old woman from Harlow was arrested on suspicion of robbery, assaulting a police officer, GBH and an unrelated aggravated burglary. A 21-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of robbery and drugs offences.

A three-figure sum of cash was stolen from the man, aged in his 70s.

Update: 0800 hrs

A MAN has been arrested following an incident in Bush Fair on Monday evening.

A police officer was injured but Essex Police has informed us that he was treated for minor injuries.
