Harlow Stroke
Robert helped the stroke association secure the lottery funding with a letter of recommendation.

Manager Jean Miley explained that this money will be used to further develop the HSSG project providing information, friendship, training and support to stroke survivors, carers and their families, to help people live a full and active life. With this funding our services will be rolled out to hospitals and GPs to support people immediately after discharge and help reduce anxiety and isolation. There will be home visits and group sessions, with information on nutrition and exercise, support with speech and communication, social groups and visits. There will also be an annual public awareness day.

Robert Halfon said:

‘For many years the Harlow Stroke Association has been doing incredible work with local residents who have suffered from strokes. The HSA meets regularly to offer therapy and provide a community for Stroke Victims and transforms people lives considerably. I’m really proud to be able to have supported this fantastic organisation that does so much for Harlow and I congratulate Jean Miley and the staff and volunteers for all the wonderful work they do.’
