STUDENTS at St Mark’s West Essex Catholic School shared their cultural heritage with their peers through a series of assemblies to celebrate Black History Month, during which drumming, dance, song and traditional dress were presented by pupils.

Year 10 performers Ruvimbo Mukachana and Zonelle Mupfayi said, “We think it is important to help other people understand about Black History and our cultural background. We were proud, and excited, to take part and to express our identity.”
