Harlow man in court over “scanned receipts” fraud rap

A HARLOW man has appeared in court over allegations in relation to scanning receipts in shops.

Carl Aldred, 30, of Aylets Field in Harlown was remanded in custody when he appeared at Chelmsford magistrates court.

The charges were:

Between 02/10/2015 and 22/10/2015 at Chelmsford made an article, namely scanned copies of till receipts from Tesco and Boots, intending it to be used to commit, or assist in the commission of, fraud.

On 05/10/2015 at Chelmsford committed fraud in that you dishonestly made a false representation, namely Stole an item and using a fake receipt gained a refund, intending to make a gain, namely £30.00, for yourself.
