ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses following a road rage incident where a driver had liquid sprayed in his face. It happened in Harlow at around 1pm on Sunday, November 22 near the roundabout junction of the A414/Edinburgh Way.

The victim, a 41-year-old man from Arlesey in Bedfordshire, was driving along the road in a black Nissan Juke and said he was cut up by another man who was in a grey VW Golf. The Golf then pulled over, the driver wound the offside window down and sprayed an irritant liquid into the face of the victim via the passenger window which was also down. He then drove off at speed along Edinburgh Way.

The liquid caused reddening and irritation to the victim’s face and eyes but he did not require hospital treatment.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnesses what happened or anyone who may have information about the incident. Anybody that can help is asked to contact Pc Donna Money at Harlow on Essex Police 101.

People can also give information to the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via an Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
