ESSEX Police has seized a large amount of weapons for a house in Harlow.

The family of an elderly Harlow resident contacted the police after he became unwell and raised a number of concerns regarding him being in possession of various shotguns.

Police officers visited the address on Saturday morning (Dec 5th) and used their powers under the within the Firearms Act, to seize weapons and certificates.

A full review will now take place regarding the man’s fitness to hold a certificate.
