HARE STREET school has come top of the class in the annual Standard Assessment Tests (SATS).
The primary school performance tables show the number of Year 6 pupils taking SATs tests at each school, the average point score of each school, and the percentage of pupils getting a Level 4 – the average for the age group – and Level 5 – above average – in reading, writing and maths.
Hare Street attained 97% in Level 4 and 27% in Level 5. Holy Cross attained 90% and achieved 17% at Level 5. St Albans attained 90% and 10%.Churchgate Street achieved 88% and 31%. The Downs attained 86% and 28%.
Fawbert and Barnard may be disappointed that they only attained 17% at Level 5. Kingsmoor Academy achieved 70% at Level 4 but only 4% at Level 5. Little Parndon achieved 65% and 6%. Milwards may also be disappointed to have achieved 53% and 3%.
But perhaps not as much as Potter Street Academy where not a single student achieved Level 5.
