Harlow AC SouthernsON Saturday 12th December 2015, an amazing six HAC juniors made the journey to Biggleswade to compete for their own counties at the SEAA Inter County Cross Country Championships.

The youngsters are all part of HAC’s junior endurance squad based at Mark Hall Sports Centre and had been selected for these championships by their respective counties.

Freezing cold, driving rain and blustery conditions made this a true cross country test of strengh on the undulating course at Biggleswade.

Representing Essex, Charlotte Pratt was 45th (11.23) and Savanna Sirkett was 82nd (12.08) over 3k in the U13 girls race.

Running for Essex over 3k in the U13 boy’s race, Joe Morgan was 30th (10.18) and running for Cambridgeshire Kai Boggon was 50th (10.41). The Essex U13 boys team secured a Bronze Medal in the team race.

In the U15 girls 4k race, Hertfordshire’s Lottie Rowedder was 35th (14.34).

Lewis Harknett was 29th (12.53) over 4k in the U15 boys race representing Essex. The Essex boys team won a Gold Medal in the team race at these championships.

For a club such as our to have six young athletes all competing at the SEAA shows how far we have come as a club and gives us great confidence for the future.
