Harvey Centre festive toy drop at Princess Alexandra Hospital

Communities / Mon 14th Dec 2015 at 12:48pm

AS a special festive surprise, The Harvey Centre dropped off a large toy donation at the Dolphin Ward, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow.

The centre has collected a variety of toys, including games, dolls and more, worth over £2,000 to be donated to the sick children who will be staying at the Ward over the Christmas period.

The Dolphin Ward provides a vital medical service to infants and children up to the age of 16. Services include surgery, a Day Unit and care for children with life limiting conditions.

Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre, said: “The work of the Dolphin Ward – and Princess Alexandra Hospital overall – is fantastic and we wanted to support this and to cheer up those children who, instead of spending Christmas at home unwrapping presents, will be in hospital this festive season.”

Cllr Tony Hall said: “I was delighted to attend this drop off today and help spread a little festive cheer amongst the Dolphin Ward. It’s a great initiative by The Harvey Centre.”
